Need Work Hours? Volunteers Needed for Imagine Day and Club Days at UBC!

UBC Imagine Day is a fun event on UBC campus, and we need enthusiastic members to hang out and talk to people about the UBC Sailing Club! Volunteers are also needed for UBC Club Days. This is a great way to get work hours back on campus!

UBC Imagine Day:
Sept. 7, 2010 from 2pm - 5pm

UBC Club Days:
Thursday Sept. 23
Friday Sept. 24
Saturday Sept. 25
10am-5pm

LABOUR DAY GORGE WINDSURFING TRIP

A group of club members will be heading down to the Gorge for the Labour Day weekend.  Mark Pidkowich will be arranging rentals and lessons for September 4 and 5 for up to five non-High Wind members who are looking to advance toward high wind windsurfing and want to spend a fantastic weekend in Hood River, Oregon.  Send your windsurfing resume to windsurfing@ubcsailing.org if you are interested.

UBC SAILING ULTIMATE TEAM

For those of you who attended the Keats trip this year you will remember how much fun we all had playing ultimate together. With that in mind an enthusiastic group of members have expressed a desire in creating a UBC Sailing Club ultimate team to join the fall Vancouver Ultimate League. This is a great chance to meet new people and stay fit into the fall. Little or no experience, no worries as we’ll being playing in one of the lower tiers and will be focused on having fun and not just winning. Games will be Sundays from September to November If you are interested email Paul at pegeddes@gmail.com.  See you on the field.
