UBC CLUB ROOM LOST AND FOUND

During our November facilities clean-up work party we
rounded up all sorts of things left behind from last summer’s
sailing season. Some of these items included a book, laptop
case, basketball, tent pegs, glasses, water bottles,
t-shirts, shorts, hats, jackets, wetsuit booties, shoes, and
flip flops.

In order to kick off the 2010 season with a neat and tidy
start in the club room, if any of those items may belong to
you, please pop down to Jericho and claim them before APRIL
1
st! After that day the lost and found will be cleaned out and
these items will find a new home.

Any questions please email Heather at
facilities@ubcsailing.org.

WIND TALKER IS BACK!

Remember the recorded voice that told you the current and
recent wind speeds over the phone? Well thanks to UBC
Sailing Club member Ian Upright, the Wind Talker is back in
action! Call the number on your JSCA card to hear the sweet
voice of the wind meter.

2010 WINTER OLYMPICS AT JERICHO

The Galley will be open from 07h00 to 23h00 every day during
the Games, to members and general public alike. Grab a bite,
grab a beer and watch hot Olympic action on the 2 brand-new
huge high-definition televisions* in the Members Lounge and
the NE room. *(Paid for by the Olympic RV park operating in
Jericho's parking lot).

SAFE BOATING DURING THE OLYMPICS

There will be plenty of anti-terrorism police boats
patrolling the waters during the Games, so all kayakers and
boaters are warned to stay out of the "water exclusion
zones" (basically, don't go under any bridges - stay west).
