SAILING CLUB SOCIAL: LET’S GO BOWLING!

-          Date: Friday, Feb. 5, 2010 @ Grandview Bowling

Meet: By the shoe rental pit.  Mention you are with a reservation to get in.

Time: 10 PM (Late enough for people to attend other outings;  10-pin

bowling opens at this time.)

Cost: An estimated $7.50 per person max. (Cost is 35$/lane to a

maximum of 6 people per lane).
Additional Costs:  Shoe rental  is $2.50—unless there's an awesome

antique pair somewhere in the family that you can borrow!

DINGHY LESSONS UPDATE!

 

For everyone who's eager to get back on the water,

lessons schedules will be posted on March 1, at

which time you can select the sessions you are interested in. 

 

Remember, registration in the lesson of your choice is only

finalized upon payment.

 

Refresher for Fall lessons will take place April 17 & 18.

Returning Member Refreshers start April 22.  Beginner &

Intermediate lessons start: April 24.  Advanced I&II lessons

start May 8 & 11.

SUNRUN SUNRUN SUNFUN RUNFUN WALKFUN FUNFUN!

-          Team up for the biggest UBC Sailing participation in

the Sun Run (or Walk) yet!

The Sun Run will take place on May 9, 2010 at 9 AM.  UBC Sailing is

recruiting interested members to participate for our club team!

This is a great way to get to know your fellow sailors and get in

shape for fun summer activities. As an added bonus, everyone

 who runs or walks for UBC Sailing will get two (2) work hours

credited to their account!

 

Remember, you don’t need to be a runner. All you need to do is

show up and walk!

Train with UBC Sailing!

-          Thursdays at 6:30 PM (starting Feb.  4, 2010)

 

For interested parties, casual drop-in training sessions will be held

once a  week. This is an opportunity to socialize and train with friends

and team members. No need to register. JUST SHOW UP.

Meet at the Starbucks on the corner of 7th and Granville Street.
Weekly emails will be sent about the distance, and at least one

UBC exec member (Maryam, Sarah or Aaron) will hold the front

balloon on training sessions.)
